Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding and metal fabrication work for roofing and structural construction projects
- Further Interpret engineering drawings, project plans, and measurements to determine job requirements
- Operate welding equipment including MIG, TIG, and manual arc welding
- Cut, shape, and assemble metal components such as frames, brackets, and supports
- Prepare metal surfaces using grinders and cutting tools prior to welding
- Position and align components accurately for welding tasks
- Carry out welding in various positions (horizontal, vertical, overhead) in workshop and on-site settings
- Inspect welded structures to ensure durability, strength, and quality standards
- Further Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition
- Follow workplace health and safety regulations at all times
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience OR a Level 4 qualification (or higher) in welding or a related field
- Further Physically fit and capable of handling manual tasks
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices
- Further Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans
- Good communication skills and teamwork ability
