The successful candidate will be responsible for performing welding and assembly tasks as part of the vehicle manufacturing process. This role requires precision, technical knowledge, and the ability to meet strict quality standards while working on automotive components. The position also involves travel and temporary relocation to Plattsburgh, NY, where the projects will be carried out.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding tasks as part of the vehicle assembly process according to AWS specifications.
  • Use various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding to join automotive components.
  • Inspect welded components to ensure they meet quality standards for strength, durability, and appearance.
  • Assemble automotive parts such as frames, chassis, exhaust systems, and structural components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate assembly and welding.
  • Further Work closely with engineers, assemblers, and quality control teams to meet production targets.
  • Assist in training junior team members on welding techniques and standards.
  • Maintain welding equipment, tools, and a clean work environment.
  • Follow workplace safety procedures and manufacturing guidelines.

Requirements

  • AWS certification preferred.
  • Further Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive assembly and welding in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong experience welding automotive components such as frames, chassis, and body panels.
  • In-depth knowledge of MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Further Strong understanding of AWS welding standards.
  • Ability to travel and temporarily relocate to Plattsburgh, NY.
  • Ability to travel to Drummondville, Canada for training (valid passport or documentation required).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
