Canada's Agricultural Museum
The Canada Agriculture and Food Museum is seeking a dedicated Farm Worker to join their team! This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a unique working farm in the heart of Ottawa, while educating the public about Canada’s agricultural heritage.
Responsibilities of Farm Worker:
- Assist with daily farm chores, including feeding and caring for a variety of farm animals (sheep, cows, pigs, etc.)
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of animal barns and surrounding areas
- Help prepare and demonstrate agricultural practices for visitors
- Assist with educational programs and special events
Requirements of Farm Worker:
- Minimum 1 year experience working on a farm or in a related agricultural setting
- Strong understanding of farm animal care and husbandry practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit for outdoor work in all weather conditions
Salary: $20-$25 per hour (depending on experience)
