Key Responsibilities
Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
Further Support residents with meals, ensuring adequate nutrition and hydration.
Monitor and record residents’ vital signs, promptly reporting any changes to the nurse on duty.
Administer medication under the supervision and direction of the nursing team.
Assist residents with mobility, social interaction, and recreational activities.
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety within residents’ rooms and common areas.
Further Support laundry, kitchen, and cleaning duties as required.
Follow infection control and hygiene procedures at all times.
Uphold the privacy, dignity, and confidentiality of residents.
Further Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
Adhere to all workplace policies regarding punctuality, conduct, and safety.
Job Requirements
Qualification:
Level 4 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or equivalent), OR
Minimum 3 years of caregiving experience in a rest home setting (if no qualification).
Proven experience in elderly care, dementia care, and crisis management.
Further Knowledge of health and safety practices and infection control.
Competence with MediMap digital medication management system.
Experience in Apomorphine Pump therapy for advanced Parkinson’s patients is an advantage.
Hold current First Aid and Food Safety certificates.
Physically fit and able to perform caregiving duties.
Excellent communication and time management skills.
Further Must pass NZ Police Check, Drug Test, and have no criminal convictions.
Flexibility to work night shifts, day shifts, weekends, or public holidays as required.
Applicants must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
