Key Responsibilities

  • Comply with all health and safety standards in the workshop and on-site.

  • Moreover Interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to plan fabrication work.

  • Select, clean, and prepare metal stock and materials for production.

  • Cut and shape metal sections using hand tools, flame-cutting torches, and metal-cutting machines.

  • Further Perform bending, forming, and shaping of metal components using manual and machine tools.

  • Accurately align and assemble components using measuring instruments and fixtures.

  • Join metal sections using various welding methods, bolting, or riveting.

  • Moreover Inspect welds for quality, width of bead, penetration, and precision.

  • Finish fabricated products through grinding, polishing, filing, and cleaning.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace at all times.


Requirements

  • Proven background in fabrication and welding of structural steel.

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience.

  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and measurements.

  • Moreover Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

  • Further Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.

  • Must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand (NZ residency required).


Skills and Competencies

  • Moreover Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques.

  • Further Competent in using cutting, bending, and measuring tools.
